-I-
Apr. 10, 2009

I remember racing around the corner of Charles in an emerald engine
Endless summer nights walking alongside a surging black ocean
Journeys on alien highways towards uncharted territory
Dance halls adorned with luscious flowers twisting to the Blues

The unbridled roar of a new Fender Strat cutting through the air
Watching her lithe stomach rise and fall as she slept
The verdant coastlines and toppled watchtowers of Southern Ireland
Whipping a net to and fro at an elusive bullfrog on Stone Row Lane

I remember the first time I saw you
Your eyes lit up the room
Forcing my aqua blue Huffy up Meadowview
And makeshift forts blanketed with fallen leaves and pine cones
